APO has been developed in response to customer requests to undertake off-line analysis of their data and processes and report on findings and proposed actions for optimising the business performance.
The APO service entails the analysis of historic data and modelling existing processes with the ABIS tools creating a full and consistent picture of the situation as is and ‘as optimised’.
The service consists of three phases

Modelling
Organisational and process models are used to produce the Business Performance Mathematical model providing
· Process alignment information
· Measurement of interdependencies
· Historic performance trends
· ‘What if’ performance analysis
Optimisation
Mathematical optimisation algorithms are then applied to identify optimal performance levels for business factors in order to reach the overall target levels. Financial, resources capability and availability constraints set by the customers are taken into consideration in the optimisation method.
Operational simulation
The optimised situation is represented in ABIS business models and the overall operation can be simulated and operated over the web by business managers and process owners to validate and fine tune the results.
